What is polygel?

Polygel can be described as a hybrid nail polish. It was initially formulated for professional nail technicians. Even though there are home kits on the market today, poly gel was not designed to be for the average everyday consumer. Yet, the manufacturers of this formula have released polgel with all of its high quality aspects as the ideal acrylic and gel nails set. Simply put, this kit is perfect for anyone who wants a set of nails that has been enhanced with both clear gel and acrylic powder.

Advantages of polygel

For anyone who is interested in trying out polygel in the privacy of their home, you will find that polygel has many great advantages. First of all, polygel was created by gelish specialists in a manner that seamlessly combines both acrylic and gel. It is considered to be a revolutionary product that gives the user the benefit of both. For instance, when it is applied on the nails, the gel is applied as a treatment on the base layer. And then the polish is used as the top layer. When each of these layers is complete, the ending nail is not only strong but flexible. Here are a few other advantages that many nail technicians and the average consumers will also look forward to.

  • The scent of the formula is not offensive but is pleasant

  • Nails are put under an LED light that is harmless so that it cures fast

  • Nails are not only very light but also comfortable for people to wear

  • These nails are not difficult to remove instead they can be filed off with your nail file and buffer very easily

What you will need for applying polygel?

If you decide to buy polygel for your nails, you will need a combination of both gel and acrylic products. Here is a list of things that you will need to secure.

  • Polygel acrylic nail brush: This brush looks similar to the traditional brush that is used for acrylic nails. However, the bristles for the polygel nail are shorter in length and much stiffer so the formation of the thick polygel is a lot easier to do.

  • Both the top coat and base nails are gel-based. So, they are essential and not a luxury.

  • You will need polygel colors for your colors.

  • Nail dehydrator and pH balanced solution to prep the surface of your nails prior to applying polygel.

  • Nail files, emery boards and nail buffers.

  • Small spatulas to assist with transferring polygel from the containers until the surface of the nails.

  • Polygel creates nail solutions for clean-ups.

  • UV-LED nail lamp to cure the nails
